When you get to London Davy, Davy say hello to London for me, Davy
The perfect time and the place Is waiting for you To put the smile on your face I'm missing from you
The bells are ringing in Parliament Square The birds are singing in Berkeley Square And now you are winging your way there, Davy, Davy
I won't believe the stories I'm told of the Capital city I hope that all that glitters is gold for you, Davy
But remember money is nothing at all
Remember if you want to come home I won't throw the first stone, Davy
When you get to London, Davy, Davy Say hello to London for me, Davy
So when the clouds are blocking the view, above you Davy I'll never stop believing in you I love you, Davy
One day you'll come home shining out loud And we'll all be prouder than proud But no one prouder than me, Davy
When you get to London, Davy, Davy Say hello to London for me, Davy When you get to London, Davy, Davy Say hello to London for me, Davy
I'm just an average guy with an average life I work from 9 to 5, hey hell I pay the price But I want is to be left alone in my average home But why do I always feel Like I'm in the Twilight Zone
I always feel that somebody's watching me And I have no privacy I always feel that somebody's watching me Tell me is it just a dream?
When I come home at night I bolt the door real tight People call me on the phone I'm trying to avoid Well, can the people on TV see me or am I just paranoid
When I'm in the shower, I'm afraid to wash my hair 'Cos I might open my eyes and find someone standing there People say I'm crazy, just a little touched But maybe showers remind me of Psycho too much That's why...
I always feel like somebody's watching me And I have no privacy I always feel like somebody's watching me Tell me it can't be
I don't know anymore Are the neighbors watching me Well is the mailman watching me And I don't feel safe anymore, oh what a mess I wonder who's watching me now? Who? The IRS?
Because maybe / You're gonna be the one that saves me...
Today is gonna be the day That they're gonna throw it back to you By now you should've somehow Realized what you gotta do I don't believe that anybody Feels the way I do about you now
Backbeat the word is on the street That the fire in your heart is out I'm sure you've heard it all before But you never really had a doubt I don't believe that anybody feels The way I do about you now
And all the roads we have to walk are winding And all the lights that lead us there are blinding There are many things that I would Like to say to you But I don't know how
Because maybe You're gonna be the one that saves me And after all You're my wonderwall
Today was gonna be the day But they'll never throw it back to you By now you should've somehow Realized what you're not to do I don't believe that anybody Feels the way I do About you now
And all the roads that lead you there were winding And all the lights that light the way are blinding There are many things that I would like to say to you But I don't know how
I said maybe, you're gonna be the one That saves me And after all You're my wonderwall
I said maybe You're gonna be the one that saves me And after all You're my wonderwall
I said maybe You're gonna be the one that saves me You're gonna be the one that saves me You're gonna be the one that saves me
Pretty girl on the hood of a cadillac, yeah (She's) broken down on Freeway 9. I take a look, I get her engine started, and leave her purring and I roll on by. Bye, bye
Free love on the freelove freeway, the Love is free and the freeway's long, I got some Hot love on the hotlove highway, ain't Going home 'cause my baby's gone (she's gone)
A little while later, see a Señorita, She's caught a flat trying to make it home. She says, "Por favor, can you pump me up?" I say, "Muchos gracias, and adios. Bye, bye."
Free love on the freelove freeway, the Love is free and the freeway's long, I got some Hot love on the hotlove highway, ain't Going home 'cause my baby's gone (she's dead) -She's not dead-
A long time later I see a cowboy crying "Hey buddy, what can I do?" He says, "I lived a good life, had about a thousand women," I said, "Why the tears?", he says, "Cause none of them was you".
Free love on the freelove freeway, the Love is free and the freeway's long, I got some Hot love on the hotlove highway, ain't Going home 'cause my baby's gone (she's gone)
