Bookshop Casanova, The ClienteleAfter all the lights go lowwe find ourselves aloneWe could be just anywherebut no one's going homeYou got my name, pick up my numberCome on darling, let's be loversYou got my name, pick up my numberCome on darling, let's be loversNow see the dying summer moonIt's shining just for me and youAnd the night that seems so alone is gone, gone, goneWeave the sunlight in your hair, catch it in your armsI can see you movin' in,I'm easy and I'm calmYou got my name, pick up my numberCome on darling, let's be loversYou got my name, pick up my numberCome on darling, let's be loversNow see that dying summer moonIt's shining just for me and youAnd the night that seems so alone is gone, gone, goneI see that dying stringIt's shining just for me and youAnd the night that seems so alone is gone, gone, goneGood night, good nightOriginalmente para Gangs of the blog!!!

LA MATARÉ

enloquecía solo a su contacto
La he conservado en la memoria
tal como estaba siempre a mi lado
(Uhhhh) Nunca me juró su amor
(Uhhhh) lo creía eterno yo
Y ella me sonreía y
(Uhhh) ¡¡¡Por favor!!!
(Uhhh) ¡¡¡Sólo quiero matarla!!!
(Uhhh) A punta de navaja
besándola una vez más

Los Housemartins cabalgan juntos otra vez

Too many Florence Nightingales
Not enough Robin Hoods
Too many halos not enough heroes
Coming up with the goods
So you though you'd like to change the world
Decided to stage a jumble sale
For the poor, for the poor
It's a waste of time if you know what they mean
Try shaking a box in front of the Queen
'Cause her purse is fat and bursting at the seams
It's a waste of time if you know what they mean
Too many hands in too many pockets
Not enough hands on hearts
Too many ready to call it a day
Before the day starts
So you thought you'd like to see them healed
Got blue Peter to stage an appeal
For the poor, for the poor
It's a waste of time if you know what they mean
Try shaking a box in front of the Queen
'Cause her purse is fat and bursting at the seams
It's a waste of time if you know what they mean

Andy Robson
Longer summers and warmer nights
Frozen forever in your youthful sight
Stolen glances in a crowded place
The awkward pauses when you're face to face
In your hand there's a crumpled piece of paper
It's a note from a long-forgotten friend
Saying 'like me for now, and love me later'
We'll be forever the best of friends

If you don't love me, oh,
if you don't love me...
You can tell me anything,
you can tell me anything,
I'll believe you
You know it too
Shame the truth with lies
Say the sun won't rise
Only realise...
If you don't love me,oh
if you don't love me
I will know, I will know wou-wou-wou
If you don't love me, oh
if you don't love me
I will know
(I will know)
You can ask me anything,
you can ask me anything,
I will do it,
You know it too
Nothing I won't do
If you want me to
But it's also true
If you don't love me, oh
if you don't love me
I will know, I will know wou-wou-wou
If you don't love me, oh
if you don't love me
If you don't love me, oh
if you don't love me
I will know (I will know)
I will know wou-wou-wou(I will know)
If you don't love me, oh
if you don't love me
I will know (I will know)

Grandes éxitos de toda la vida, incluyendo las instrumentales Swan Lake y The Return of The Los Palmas 7. Se vivieron momentos delirantes con las interpretaciones de House of Fun, Night Boat to Cairo y Shut Up. También hubo tiempo para canciones del último disco (The Liberty of Norton Folgate) como Forever Young, Dust Devil y NW5, o del disco de versiones The Dangermen Sessions, vol. 1.

What did you learn today?
- I learned nothin'.
What did you do today?
- I did nothin'.
What did you learn at school?
-I didn't go.
Why didn't you go to school?
- I don't know.
It's cool to know nothin'
It's cool to know nothin'
Television's on the blink
- There's nothin' on it.
I really wanna really big coat
- with words on it.
What do you want for tea?
- I want crisps.
Why didn't you join the team?
- I just didn't.
It's cool to know nothin'
It's cool to know nothin'
Take a look, take a look,
take a look at the Kids on the street
No they never miss a beat
No they never miss a beat
Never miss a beat
Never miss a beat, beat, beat, beat
Take a look at the kids on the street
No they never miss a beat
No they never miss a beat
Never miss a beat
Never miss a
Never miss a beat
Never miss a beat
Here comes the referee
- the light's flashin'.
Best bit of the day
- now that's livin'.
Why don't you run away?
- are you kiddin'?
What is the golden rule?
- you say nothin'
It's cool to know nothin'
It's cool to know nothin'
Take a look, take a look,
take a look at the Kids on the street
No they never miss a beat
No they never miss a beat
Never miss a beat
Never miss a beat, beat, beat, beat
Take a look at the kids on the street
No they never miss a beat
No they never miss a beat

Papers in the morning
Bowler hat on head
Walking to the bus stop
He's longing for his bed,
Waiting with his neighbours
In the rush hour queue
Got to get the first bus
So much for him to do.
He's got to hurry
Got to get his seat
Can't miss his place
Got to rest his feet.
Ten more minutes till he gets there
The crossword's nearly done.
It's been so hard these days
Not nearly so much fun.
His mind wanders to the office
His telephone, desk and chair
He's been happy with the company
They've treated him real fair.
Think of seven letters
Begin and end in 'C'
Like a big American car
But misspelt with a 'D'.
I wish this bus'd get a move on,
Driver's taking his time.
I just don't know, I'll be late
Oh dear what will the boss say?
Pull yourself together now
Don't get in a state
Don't you worry
There's no hurry
It's a lovely day
Could all be going your way
Take the doc's advice
Let up enjoy your life
Listen to what they say
It's not a game they play.
Never get there at this rate
He's caught up in a jam.
There's a meeting this morning
It's just his luck oh damn!
His hand dives in his pocket
For his handkerchief.
Pearls of sweat on his collar
His pulse-beat seems so brief.
Eyes fall on his wristwatch
The seconds pass real slow
Gasping for the hot air
But the chest pain it won't go.
Tried to ask for help
But can't seem to speak a word,
Words are whispered frantically
But don't seem to be heard.
What about the wife and kids?
They all depend on me!
We're so sorry
We told you not to hurry.
Now it's just too late
You've got a certain date
We thought we made it clear
We all voiced our inner fears
We left it up to you
There's nothing we can do.

Celtas galeses y celtas de Escocia
In a milk bar and feeling lost
Drinking sodas as cold as frost
Someone leans in my direction
Quizzing on my juke-box selection
What do you call that noise
That you put on?
This is pop
Yeah yeah
This is!
On a walkway and moving fast
All I get is transistor blast
Someone leans in my direction
Quizzing on my station selection
What do you call that noise
That you put on?
This is pop
Yeah yeah
This is!
We come the wrong way
We come the long way
We play the songs much too loud
This is pop
Yeah yeah

GUESH PATTI. Etienne
Étienne, Étienne, Étienne
Oh! Tiens le bien
Baisers salés salis
Tombés le long le lit
De l'inédit, il aime à la folie
Au ralenti, je soulève les interdits
Oh!
Étienne, Étienne, Étienne
Oh!
Hou!
Étienne, Étienne, Étienne
Oh! Tiens le bien
Alléché, mal léché
Accollés tout collés
Reste alangui, je me sens étourdie
Toute alourdie, mais
Un très grand appétit
Oh!
Étienne, Étienne, Étienne
Oh!
Oh! Étienne!
Étienne, Étienne, Étienne
Oh! Tiens le bien
Étienne, Étienne, Étienne
Oh! Tiens le bien
Baisers salés salis
Tombés le long du lit
De l'inédit, il aime à la folie
Au ralenti, je soulève les interdits
Oh!
Étienne, Étienne, Étienne
Oh! Tiens le bien
Affolé, affolant
Il glisse comme un gant
Pas de limite
Au goût de l'after beat
Reste allongé
Je vais te rallumer
Oh!
Étienne, Étienne, Étienne
Oh! Tiens le bien

FRANCO BATTIATO. Sequenze e frequenze
La maestra in estate
ci dava ripetizioni
nel suo cortile
Io stavo sempre seduto
sopra un muretto
a guardare il mare
Ogni tanto passava una nave
Ogni tanto passava una nave
E le sere d'inverno
restavo rinchiuso in casa
ad ammuffire
Fuori il rumore dei tuoni
rimpiccioliva la mia candela
Al mattino improvviso il sereno
mi portava un profumo di terra

LOS RETOÑOS DE DURHAM son crueles
Cruel is the gospel that's sets us all free,
Then takes you away from me
There is no Chicago
urban blues,
more heartfelt than my
lament for you.
I'm a liberal guy,
too cool for the macho ache,
with a secret tooth,
for the cherry on the cake.
With a pious smile,
a smile that changes what I say.
While I waste my time,
in regretting that the days,
Went from perfect to just OK.
Lordy, what would I do?
don't call me possessive,
But God if he's smoochin' with you.
As a jealous boy root,
the world should be free,
But don't you go following suit
my heart is aligned
It couldn't be neutral,
I couldn't be that way inclined.
It's hard to defend, pa pa pa, pa pa pa,
These feelings my tuppentup friend.
It's cruel,
pa pa pa, pa pa pa, pa pa pa, pa pa pa pa pa,
it's cruel,
pa pa pa, pa pa pa, pa pa pa, pa pa pa pa pa,
it's cruel,
it's crueler than cruel.
But cruel is the gospel that's sets us all free,
Then takes you away from me.
Should a love be tender,
and bleed out loud?
Or be tougher than tough,
and prouder than proud?
If I'm troubled by
every folding of your skirt,
Am I guilty of
every male inflicted hurt?
But I dont know how
to describe the modern rose,
When I cant refer
to her shape against her clothes.
With the fever of purple prose.
But cruel is the gospel that's sets us all free,
Then takes you away from me.
Cruel is the gospel that's sets us all free,
Then takes you away from me.
My contribution
to urban blues.

ESCLARECIDOS. No hay nada como tú. (Soberbia)
No hay nada como tú
probablemente nada como tú.
Si te quieres ir
adelante, vete si te quieres ir.
Yo no se que haré,
me vendaré el corazón.
Espero que el parador
no cierre los inviernos
(bis).

DANNY WILSON. Davy
say hello to London for me, Davy
The perfect time and the place
Is waiting for you
To put the smile on your face
I'm missing from you
The bells are ringing in Parliament Square
The birds are singing in Berkeley Square
And now you are winging your way there, Davy, Davy
I won't believe the stories I'm told of the Capital city
I hope that all that glitters is gold for you, Davy
But remember money is nothing at all
I won't throw the first stone, Davy
When you get to London, Davy, Davy
Say hello to London for me, Davy
So when the clouds are blocking the view, above you Davy
I'll never stop believing in you
I love you, Davy
One day you'll come home shining out loud
And we'll all be prouder than proud
But no one prouder than me, Davy
When you get to London, Davy, Davy
Say hello to London for me, Davy
When you get to London, Davy, Davy
Say hello to London for me, Davy
The perfect time and the place
Is waiting for you

ROCKWELL. Somebody's Watching Me
I'm just an average guy with an average life
I work from 9 to 5, hey hell I pay the price
But I want is to be left alone in my average home
But why do I always feel
Like I'm in the Twilight Zone
I always feel that somebody's watching me
And I have no privacy
I always feel that somebody's watching me
Tell me is it just a dream?
When I come home at night
I bolt the door real tight
People call me on the phone I'm trying to avoid
Well, can the people on TV see me
or am I just paranoid
When I'm in the shower, I'm afraid to wash my hair
'Cos I might open my eyes and find
someone standing there
People say I'm crazy, just a little touched
But maybe showers remind me of Psycho too much
That's why...
I always feel like somebody's watching me
And I have no privacy
I always feel like somebody's watching me
Tell me it can't be
I don't know anymore
Are the neighbors watching me
Well is the mailman watching me
And I don't feel safe anymore, oh what a mess
I wonder who's watching me now?
Who?
The IRS?

Un Spoiler de Lost. Wonderwall
Today is gonna be the day
That they're gonna throw it back to you
By now you should've somehow
Realized what you gotta do
I don't believe that anybody
Feels the way I do about you now
Backbeat the word is on the street
That the fire in your heart is out
I'm sure you've heard it all before
But you never really had a doubt
I don't believe that anybody feels
The way I do about you now
And all the roads we have to walk are winding
And all the lights that lead us there are blinding
There are many things that I would
Like to say to you
But I don't know how
Because maybe
You're gonna be the one that saves me
And after all
You're my wonderwall
Today was gonna be the day
But they'll never throw it back to you
By now you should've somehow
Realized what you're not to do
I don't believe that anybody
Feels the way I do
About you now
And all the roads that lead you there were winding
And all the lights that light the way are blinding
There are many things that I would like to say to you
But I don't know how
I said maybe, you're gonna be the one
That saves me
And after all
You're my wonderwall
I said maybe
You're gonna be the one that saves me
And after all
You're my wonderwall
I said maybe
You're gonna be the one that saves me
You're gonna be the one that saves me
You're gonna be the one that saves me

He says, "I lived a good life, had about a thousand women,"
I said, "Why the tears?", he says, "Cause none of them was you".
